Wedding Flowers by Season in North Georgia
What actually blooms well for spring, summer, fall and winter weddings in North Georgia — and how seasonal choices stretch your floral budget.
Choosing flowers that are in season the week of your wedding is the single easiest way to get a fuller look for the same money. Here's how the year runs for weddings around Dalton and North Georgia.
Spring
Tulips, ranunculus, sweet peas, lilac, and garden roses. Soft, loose, romantic. Spring stems are gorgeous but thirsty — we build bouquets the morning of and keep them cool until the ceremony.
Summer
Dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers, hydrangea, and lisianthus. Heat is the enemy here. For outdoor North Georgia summer weddings we choose heat-tolerant stems and skip anything that collapses in humidity.
Fall
Our favorite season in Whitfield County. Copper and burgundy roses, amaranthus, chrysanthemums, dried grasses, and eucalyptus. Fall palettes look expensive without expensive stems.
Winter
Anemones, amaryllis, evergreen, ranunculus, and white roses. Deep greens with white and a little metallic read beautifully in low winter light and indoor venues.
When to ignore the season
If one specific flower is meaningful to you, we'll source it regardless of the calendar. Just tell us early so we can price it honestly instead of surprising you later.
